Load distribution on the trapezoidal sheet

Load distribution on the trapezoidal sheet

Why is load distribution on trapezoidal sheeting important?

ARSTE steel wire rope type YTG as the optimum solution for distributing the weight of cable routes on the trapezoidal sheet metal roofing.

The parameters quoted by the sheet supplier relate to the permissible trapezoidal sheet load F kN per 1m2. For installation purposes, the load of a single V trapezoidal sheet is most often used, which depends on a number of parameters such as sheet thickness, embossments, type and span-to-span distance. In practice, trapezoidal sheeting manufacturers usually use a quick calculation by dividing 1 running m by the distance between the waves, and from this the load per wave is given.

For the example shown below, with an inter-wave spacing of 330 mm, we have three waves in a
one running metre. Taking the permissible load of 35 kg per 1 m of trapezoidal sheeting, we can quickly calculate that we have approximately 1/3 F per wave, i.e. 11.5 kg of permissible load capacity. When installing, this value is not always sufficient. It is then necessary to distribute the load of our installation in such a way that the calculated load for a single wave is not exceeded.

Example calculations of load per wave assuming different values of the specified load
per 1m2 and different values for the distance between successive waves.

Running cable routes on steel cables is up to six times faster, leading to significant financial benefits at the facility. It is worth examining all the benefits associated with significantly improving the speed of cable route installation on a facility. With only 1200 pcs of 2M M8 threaded rods on the facility results in a weight of 744 kg. The same in steel cables is only 36 kg.
